What We Do
Eyes on Lex is here for all of your eye health needs from comprehensive eye exams, to Ocular Emergencies. We will help treat existing problems and also prevent further eye health issues. We strive to take care of our patients in a warm, inviting, and family friendly environment.
Comprehensive Eye exams
Comprehensive eye health exams are the heart of our practice. Our mission is early detection and prevention of eye disease so that our patients can enjoy the gift of sight for a lifetime.
Myopia, or nearsightedness, is about more than just having to wear glasses. Myopes are at greater risk for many other ocular conditions such as retinal detachment, glaucoma, and earlier onset of cataracts. New technology allows us to better control the progression of nearsightedness in our children to help ensure them a lifetime of healthy eyes.
Approximately 13.7% of Kentuckians have diabetes, and diabetic eye disease is a leading cause of blindness. Annual diabetic eye exams are crucial for the early detection and intervention of potentially sight threatening complications from this disease.
Floaters and Flashes
Flashes and floaters can potentially be signs of a serious ocular condition, and sometimes they are benign. If you are experiencing these symptoms, allow us to examine you right away to help prevent vision loss.
Red eyes can be caused by any number of conditions: dry eye, allergies, infection, and contact lens overwear just to name a few. Let us help you get to the underlying cause and appropriate treatment so that you can be bright-eyed once again.
Ocular Emergencies/ Trauma
We are well-equipped to handle many ocular emergencies and minor traumas such as abrasions and foreign bodies. Sight-threatening retinal tears and detachments can be detected and co-managed with some of the top specialists in the state.
